Contact form

The form asks for a name, an email address and a message. Along with that it records whether the enquiry is about the IT side or the tennis side, and which language the site was used in.

These details are sent by email to the info@tcibien.com mailbox and handled there. They are not written to a database, not analysed and not passed on.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry is aimed at a contract, otherwise 6(1)(f), the legitimate interest in answering an enquiry.

Messages stay in the mailbox as long as the matter is running and are deleted after twelve months at the latest. If an enquiry turns into a job, the statutory retention periods apply to the business records.

Protection against spam

The form contains a hidden field and measures how much time passes between the page loading and the message being sent. Both work without cookies and without any outside service.

So that nobody can fire the form off in series, the server remembers for one minute that a message came from an address. What it stores for that is not the address in the clear but a hash of it, together with the time. The entry expires on its own.

Light and dark appearance

The site first follows whatever is set on the device. Nothing is stored for that, the browser tells the site this setting by itself.

Anyone who switches it at the top right stores that choice in the browser's local storage, under the name "tc-theme". The entry holds only the word for light or dark, says nothing about the person and is never sent to the server. Its only job is that the site looks right straight away on the next visit.

To get rid of it, clear the site data in the browser or simply switch back.

Server and logs

The site is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. Hostinger acts as a processor, the servers are in the EU.

As with any web server, the hosting keeps access logs. They contain the IP address, the time, the address requested, the browser identifier and the referrer. This serves operation and security, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. TCibien GmbH has no influence over how long these logs are kept, that is part of the hosting contract.

What does not happen

No analysis of visitor behaviour, no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels. No cookies. The only thing stored is the choice between light and dark appearance, and even that only if somebody presses the button. Because that is a setting the visitor asked for, and because nobody can be recognised from it, it needs no banner.

No fonts, maps, videos or scripts from other servers. Everything the site shows comes from its own server. So while you are reading, the browser connects to nobody else.

External references on the site are ordinary links. Follow one and you leave this site, and from there the privacy policy of that provider applies.

Your rights

You have the right to information about the data stored, to rectification, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest.

An informal message to info@tcibien.com is enough for that. Anyone wishing to complain can turn to the Data Protection Office of Liechtenstein in Vaduz.
